A filmmaker based between New York City, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area. He was born in Quy Nhon, Vietnam, and lived there until he was seven years old before immigrating to Silicon Valley in California.

Truong recently earned his BFA in Film and Television from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. His work is influenced by academic literature, philosophy, fine art, untold stories and voices of people of color, and political discourse. He was named to the Tisch School of the Arts Dean’s List.

To date, he has worked on over 30 production sets, contributing more than 1,000 on and off-set hours, taking on diverse roles ranging from 1st AD to Colorist. While at NYU, he actively leveraged the school’s resources to expand his creative practice and deepen his commitment to filmmaking as a powerful medium for connection and change.

He is currently developing short-form and long-form projects.
